The steering goes out while making turns and highway driving. You can feel it jerk then you have no control of where the car is going. To gain control back you keep turning the wheel in the opposite direction until it catches. This has been a problem for at least 2 years. Dt*: the contact stated the steering wheel started to chatter at various speeds under normal road conditions. The vehicle was taken to the service dealer, who could not determine the problem. The parking brake cables were replaced. There was a noise coming from the rear of the vehicle, when the consumer drove over bumps. There was a noise coming from the ac compressor.
