Electronic steering goes in and out. When in gear and foot on brake the steering wheel vibrates right to left. My vehicle was not part of recall.

Power steering warning appears and then power steering goes out. Local garage diagnosed as steering torque sensor. The steering usually works when you first start the car, but completely fails after a few minutes. Contacted local gm dealer and was told it was already fixed under the previous recall and there was nothing they could do. Apparently the parts are failing again.

My 06 malibu has intermit power steering loss. I have almost had two accidents when the power steering lost occurred. I have researched that gm has recalled certain vehicles for this condition, but mine has yet to receive this recall. When will gm fix the issue with all vehicles effected by this condition.
