I drive a 2007 malibu and the check engine light keeps coming on and the fuel gauge will drop to empty even though i know gas is in the car. Then it will slowly climb back up and then drop again. *tr

I purchased a used 2007 chevrolet malibu in 11/2009. A few months of me owning it, the fuel gauge started acting up. It would register that there was fuel in the tank and then it would state i was on empty even though i know i had fuel in it. It has now stopped working all together. I took it to a mechanic and was told that is a dealer item to replace it and the cost would be rather expensive. I am a single father…

I own a 2007 chevy malibu 2lt which have been having problems with the fuel sensor since i bought it. Have taken into dealership but nothing can be found wrong. Replaced fuel cap to see if that was problem but nothing changed. Fuel light stays on empty even with full tank of gas plus check engine light stays on. The only time it works is when i travel very long distances otherwise nothing. I am very disappointed…
