While driving, my powers steering randomly turns off ans is not reestablished until the car is put in park amd restarted. This has happened at low and high speeds. It has happened on multiple occasions over the last 4 years.

I was driving and my power steering went out making it extremely difficult to turn the wheel. I had to pull over turn the car off and the problem stopped for a few miles then happened again. My steering wheel is now shaking and pulling to one side without being touched. This problem has happened on both city streets and highways, as well as when i start the car.

Electrical power steering randomly gives out while driving the car making it extremely difficult to control car and make turns. Steering wheel shakes a lot when driving or parked. I checked online and malibu's 2006-2007 have a recall for the same issue. I called chevy service and was told there was no recall for my car with my vin.

The power steering will occasionally not work when you start the car but if you turn it off and start it up again it will work. I'll occasionally get a burning smell through my vents and my steering wheel will periodically shake as well.. This happens regardless of the road that i am driving on and regardless if i am on highways or city roads.
